Jag och min make Augusti 2013. |
Hela sommaren tränade vi hårt men vi såg inga resultat på vågen.
Min mamma, pappa, farmor och faster sysslar alla med LCHF och alla har fått bra resultat viktmässigt av kosten. De inspirerade oss att testa den. Vi gick in med inställningen att hålla oss till kosten i en kort tid(10 veckor) för att snabbt gå ner i vikt för att senare gå tillbaka till husmanskost. Kosten gjorde någonting med mig.
Jag upptäckte att kosten inte bara var bra för att tappa några kg utan att hela mitt välbefinnande förändrades till det bättre. För min make tog det lite längre tid då han tidigare varit bröd-narkoman och han saknade verkligen detta till frukostarna på morgonen. Jag hintade lite lätt då och då att jag gärna ville fortsätta med kosten i längre än 10 veckor. 10 veckor blev 15 veckor och då var även min make fast. Han kände och märkte att även han mådde bra av kosten. Jag skall i ett senare blogginlägg berätta om vilka förändringar vi har lagt märke till och vad som gjorde att min make lyckades omvändas till LCHF på heltid.
Efter ca fem veckor på en LCHF-diet fick jag tillbaka mensen och efter ytterligare några veckor så låg inte mitt BMI längre på fetma vilket kändes som en riktig milstolpe att nå.
Vi har ännu inte blivit gravida och vi fortsätter vår utredning. I denna bloggen skall jag berätta om mitt liv- om våra försök till att bli med barn, hur lchf påverkar mitt liv och jag skall även lägga ut recept och tips på LCHF mat som jag gillar.

I began my LCHF-journey in the end of August 2013.Me and my husband have been married for 3.5 years and have been trying to conceive since October 2012. The following month , in November 2012 I did not get my period. I was so excited with the hope that we had become pregnant on the first try . I took a test but to my disappointment , I discovered that the test was negative , I was not pregnant. What I did not know then was that my period would not occur for another 8 months, and without a baby in the womb . I have always been sensitive to stress so I figured this was probably the reason why my period had been absent becaus we moved and started working / studying at the same time my period was absent. But after eight months, I started to get conserned about if it really could be due to stress so I went to see a doctor for a checkup. The midwife wanted me and my husband to start the investigation of our infertility and sort out their menstrual riot at the same time . In connection with the first visit to the infertility clinic , we would answer several questions about our lives including height and weight. I got an eye-opener in that situation , it turned out i had 32 in BMI which classifies in the group obesity. I had obesity ! ( My husband was in the same level). We decided that day that we needed to do something about our weight if we really wanted to have children and take care of a child in the best possible way .
All summer we worked out hard but we did not see any results on the scale.
My mom, dad , grandmother and aunt all involved with LCHF and all have had good results with loosing weight on the diet. They inspired us to try it out. We went in with the attitude to stick with the diet in a short time (10 weeks) to rapidly lose weight and later go back to "normal" cooking. The diet did something to me.
I discovered that the diet was not only good for losing a few kg , but my entire well-being changed for the better. For my husband , it took a little longer since he had previously been a bread-addict and he was really missing this for breakfasts in the morning. I hinted a little easy now and then that I wanted to continue with the diet for longer than 10 weeks. 10 weeks turned to 15 weeks and by then even my husband was hooked. He felt and noticed that he felt good on the diet . I will in a later blog post tell you about the changes we 've noticed and what made my husband get converted to LCHF full time.
After about five weeks on a lowcarb diet, I got my period back and after another few weeks my BMI was no longer on an obesity-level which felt like a huge milestone to reach.
We have not yet become pregnant and we continue our investigation . In this blog I will tell you about my life, about our attempts to get pregnant, how lowcarb affects my life and I will also post recipes and tips on lowcarb food that I like.

Härlig och sorglig läsning! Jag har själv varit i försöka-bli-gravid-fasen. Jag vill med min kommentar tipsa om akupunktur för att bli gravid. Bor du i närheten av Uppsala så finns det en fantastisk klinik där som har hjälpt många barnlösa! :)
